Linville Gorge II was painted for the 2024 exhibition The Wild South — a collection of twenty-eight new original landscape and related works centered on the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area and the Wilson Creek National Wild and Scenic River. Captured in both tonal and colorful approaches depending on the chosen mood, these landscapes celebrate some of the most rugged and beautiful terrain in the Pisgah National Forest. A percentage of sales from the show benefitted WildSouth.org, a conservation organization serving as trail maintenance and graffiti removal caretaker for both wilderness tracks.
