Certified Giclée Grandfather Mountain Profile Trail II

From the Top of Calloway Peak

This view was painted from a sketch near the top of Calloway Peak on Grandfather Mountain. The huge boulders amidst the spruce-fir forest create a textured and dramatic landscape — one that is challenging to navigate. Two versions of this piece were painted from different overlooks and with different palette choices, each capturing a distinct mood of this remarkable summit environment.
