This perspective of Grandfather Mountain is composed from a view at a friend's home on Chestnut Drive in the Hound Ears area — a rather majestic framing of the profile through a window of evergreens and hardwoods. The color palette is primarily cool, with a feeling of wind and approaching weather, as are often the conditions at this elevation in early fall.
